Terica Allinience never set out to write a book. She set out to bring her wife home. Her wife, Brandy, was a firefighter with the Houston Fire Department who spent her career running toward what everyone else ran from. When Brandy was diagnosed with cancer, Terica became a caregiver—a role she had never imagined and no one had prepared her for.
The Silent Wife was written through sleepless nights, hospital stays, heartbreak, hope, and unimaginable grief. Every chapter was lived before it was ever written. Terica now writes and speaks for caregivers, widows and widowers, and first responder families—the people still sitting in the waiting room, hoping for one more miracle.
